absolutely divine. do you dig it? right on. no worries. it's all good. when time will come, we will see. it is what it is.
catch phrases i use.
Because i am desperately trying to get my writing on track and because i seem to have more time than usual these days, i have made it a point to post something. Hopefully that something will serve some form of entertainment value, insight, or some chuckles. I don't do chuckles.
Never been a chuckler.
I think you have to be a super intelligent person to be witty and belt out punch lines. Comedians are smart people. I think i am more of a sarcastic person. Almost mean. on my spectrum, i am either goofy or then i am sarcastic. I wrote a dark comedy with my friend. dark comedies i get. "royal tennanbaums", "Rushmore", "Pulp Fiction" [well, that was HEE larious] and "fargo". I think people's humour is reflective of their background or childhood. There isn't a PhD behind my name, but i think, from my years experience of talkshow therapy, that Comedy is a mechanism for some.
Would you agree?
All the funny people [funny ppl, not Goofy/cheesy ppl] are intelligent sharp ppl with obscure beginnings. Not all have depressed and lonely backgrounds, but majority of them have "interesting" backgrounds. This is my opinion, no formal study/survey has been conducted in making of this blog post. They generally read and observe social behaviour moreso than the average drive through latte sipper. Now we all know writers, and now bloggers, thrive on social settings and take on people watching skills to be inspired, create a story, infuse that with their own stories, and project that onto your display, plasma screen, or your IPOD. Comedians, go a step further in my opinion. They have somehow managed to use their craft to take rather controversial topics and bring them to a place where it can be examined with a laugh. I think that is an art. Now, offensive Comedians, and i will refrain from naming names, are offensive, if they cross the lines. Cross the line to prejudice, racism, and bigotry, and im downright disgusted.
what are your thoughts? i dont know why i ask questions these days. Since i hardly get comments. Oh wait, i know why i do, its because whether or not you share your answer with me, you have given some thought.
which is why i ask those questions.
all i know is, with so much drama in our lives, in our country, certainly around the world, its good to laugh once in a while. just laugh, you know. even find humour in ourselves. i think i have spent too much of my life worrying about the world, family and friends, and not nearly enough laughing. i just didnt allow myself to laugh, because i ithought it took away the seriousness of my priorities. geez, i dont know if thats makes sense.
now, im starting to laugh again. i mean really laugh. not smirking, or ha-ha-ing, but finding humour, amdist the contant dark current all of humanity swims through. i find it easier that way.
So please share a laugh today.
pop in your favourite DVD of Office, Seinfeld, Bernie Mac, Golden Girls, or whatever..
Rehash a funny childhood story with a friend, colleague or loved one...
Call up your significant other in a funny voice, act silly to make them laugh...
laughter is contagious.
HA HA HA HA/ [thats what a laugh sounds like, i think. unless your LOL-ing, ugh, i hate LOL]
